Stachyurus praecox 'Magpie'

This choice shrub is prized for its elegant, arching branches and lance-shaped leaves edged in crisp white. In late winter, before the leaves emerge, it produces dramatic, pendulous "chains" of pale yellow flowers that hang like jewelry from the dark stems.
